Latin Pulse: 2.07.2014

Politics and elections provide the central themes this week on Latin Pulse with a deep exploration of politics in Colombia and Panama.  In Colombia, President Juan Manuel Santos is running for re-election but a former president, Alvaro Uribe and his political coalition are proving problematic to Santos' goals.  The discussion on Panama swirls around who will succeed President Ricardo Martinelli and if his independent party will continue its dominance over the traditional parties. The news segment gives an update on the presidential campaigns in El Salvador and Costa Rica.
